Hike + Wod

Sat: 2 hour hike (3-4 miles is? lots of hills)

Sun: Workout

Warm up (x2): 5 jumping pull-ups, 10 pushups, 15 squats.

Workout: AMRAP 20 minutes: 5 band-pull-ups, 7 knees to chest, 9, pushups, 12 ball slams, 400 m run.

Total: 3 rounds + pull up, pushup, ball slams.

I think i could have gotten in 4 rounds if I could run faster...

Breakfast: Omelet “Muffins”(ham, kale, egg, mushroom, onion), Turnip Hash browns (with scallions & egg mixed in) with Salsa, Paleo Banana Bread

Lunch: Zucchini Lasagna Lefovers, Orange

Snack: ants on a log (almond butter, celery, rasins)

Dinner: Flank steak with Romesco Sauce, Yam fries, Salad with Radish

Dessert: Paleo Banana Bread


Breakfast: Asparagus, Poached Egg w/ “Bearnaise” sauce, Leftover Steak w/ Romesco Sauce, Blueberries, 

Snack: Pistachios & Macadamia nuts, Orange, Apple

Lunch: Zucchini Lasagna leftovers

Snack: frozen banana, mango and coconut milk

Dinner: scallops wrapped in bacon, Spinach, Asparagus with cayenne and paprika and lemon

Dessert: Ants on a log


Breakfast: Omlette Muffin, Avocado, Apple

Lunch: Mild Pork Sausage, Salad, Yam Spears

Snack: Plantain Chips, Green Salsa, ”Super Cookies” Deli Ham

Dinner: Zucchini Carbonara, Meat Ball

Dessert: Apple with Cinnamon

Busters has fruit!

Breakfast: Curried Cauliflower & Fritata leftovers (with chard, butternut squash, zucchini, bacon, sausage), Blueberries

Snack: Fruit bowl (apple, oranges, grapes, banana, papaya, etc), Mint Tea

Lunch: Grilled Pork chop, Radishes, Avocado, Salsa

Snack: plantain chips, salsa

Dinner: Roasted Chicken, Sauteed Kale & Mushrooms, Pureed Turnips, Apple & Orange

Breakfast: Frittata (Butternut squash, chard, zucchini, bacon, sausage) with home made salsa and 1/2 grapefruit

Lunch: Leftover beef stew

Snack: Plantain Chips with home made salsa

Dinner: Pork chop with curried cauliflower

Late Tapas: Green beans, Asparagus & Mushrooms, and ONE spicy tuna on a little fried rice square : (  I was doing good today, aside from the one little bit of rice!

Back Squat: test for max, 20 min cap

Total weight: 55kg

Deadlift: test for max, 20 min cap

Total weight: 64kg

Turkish Get Ups: 30 (with 10lb slam ball)

The TGU was suppose to be 75... but I didn't get that far. Also looking back it seems like my deadlift max is suppose to be higher but I couldn't lift more that the 64kg today. I wonder if my previous records were inaccurate or if I'm just really out of it since I haven't lifted anything in quite a while. I'm hoping its just the later.

CFP paleo challenge starts Jan 3

The past month has been a sort of pre-cursor to the “real” challenge that starts on Jan. 3rd, which is as strict as possible paleo for 8 weeks. The hardest bit will be once school starts I’m sure. But hopefully the rest of break will be a good practice at getting into the groove of things before having the added stress of school. But also that sort of means that for the next few days (and the past few) I’m a little extra loose about eating super strict since I know I’ll be more so after the 3rd. We just got back from the first meeting at CFP about it. I think the biggest thing will be getting into working out regularly again.

Breakfast: 1/2 Grapefruit & some prosciutto. Some mango & coconut milk.

Lunch @ Flying Pig Taco Truck. Pork Belly Bun, Spicy Pork Taco w/honey dew topping, Tamarind Duck taco.

Dinner: Watercress & Pork soup from Phoenix. Mango & Almond Tofu dessert.

Lunch @ Congregation Pulled Pork, Caramelized Onion, Brie Sandwich 

Dinner. Sashimi @ Hana Sushi: Toro, Albacore, Salmon, Yellow Tail, Soft Shell Crab, Spicy Tuna, Cucumber Salad. Sake.
